About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee projects in gasification, hydrogen production, and sustainable fuels. This role is critical in delivering low-carbon energy solutions, ensuring efficient project execution from concept to completion. You will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and industry partners to drive forward innovative hydrogen and gasification projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Execution: Manage the full lifecycle of gasification and hydrogen projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and sustainability goals.
- Technology Integration: Oversee the implementation of advanced gasification processes, hydrogen production, and biomass/waste feedstock utilisation.
- Stakeholder & Partner Engagement: Liaise with government bodies, regulators, investors, technology providers, and supply chain partners.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Identify technical, financial, and regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with energy regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Budget & Resource Allocation: Develop and control project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial accountability.
- Team & Contractor Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary teams, external contractors, and R&D partners to achieve project milestones.
- Innovation & Sustainability Focus: Drive research, feasibility studies, and pilot projects to scale up hydrogen and gasification technologies.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, provide regular updates to senior leadership, and ensure KPIs are met.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong project management skills with experience in gasification, hydrogen production, or renewable energyprojects.
- Knowledge of biomass, waste-to-energy, syngas production, carbon capture, and hydrogen supply chains.
- Experience in energy transition, net-zero strategies, and sustainability initiatives.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, etc.).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and technical challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Energy, or Environmental) or a related field.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in managing energy, hydrogen, or gasification projects.
- Experience with hydrogen production, carbon capture, or waste-to-energy technologies is a plus.
